This article is for Site Owners, Administrators, and Instructors seeking to schedule and reschedule content from the library and classroom schedule.
Scheduling
You have two options when scheduling course content into your classroom: from the Library or from a classroom’s schedule.
To schedule course content from the Library:
- Click library in the left-hand side navigation.,
- Select the desired content to review the course outline and details.
- Click the option labeled "Schedule Course" at the top right-hand side of the screen.
- Clicking on this will trigger a pop-up window where you can choose the classroom and start date for the entire course.
Note: It's important to note that scheduling the course from this top-level option will place the entire course on the calendar.
However, if you wish to schedule individual lessons or units from within the course:
- Scroll down the page to the specific units, or click into the units for specific lessons and activities.
- Click the "Schedule" button located at the top right-hand side.
- This will prompt a pop-out window where you can select the class and start date for the specific unit or lesson.
Once you select "Schedule," the action will promptly reflect in the classroom's course calendar.
- Please note that an error message will appear if you try to schedule the same lesson(s) twice into the same classroom.
To schedule content from a classroom’s schedule:
Please note you can only schedule single lessons using this method at this time.
- Click Classrooms from the left-hand side navigation, then select your desired classroom.
- From your classroom, click “Edit Schedule” on the right side of the screen.
- You will now be in your classroom’s schedule. You can schedule content in two different ways: from the Scheduling dropdown menu, or directly from a date’s cell.
- To schedule content from the Scheduling dropdown menu:
- Click the “Scheduling” button at the top right of the screen to open a dropdown menu.
- Click “+Schedule Lessons” from the dropdown menu. This will open the Lesson Scheduler pop-up window.
- From there, select the desired course. You can now scroll through all the lessons of the course, or use the search bar and filters at the top of the window to narrow your search.
- If you would like to browse a different course, click the “Back” button at the bottom right of this window to return to your list of courses.
- Once you have one lesson selected, confirm or change the date, and then click the purple “Schedule” button. You will now see the lesson and its activities on the selected date.
- Please note that an error message will appear if you try to schedule the same lesson twice into the same classroom.
- To schedule content directly from a date’s cell:
- Hover over the number at the top of any date’s cell on the schedule. You will see a purple plus sign appear.
- Click on the purple plus sign to open a drop down menu.
- Click “+Schedule Lessons” from the dropdown menu. This will open the Lesson Scheduler pop-up window.
- Follow the directions from above to complete the process of scheduling a lesson.
Once you are happy with your changes, you must click “save changes” located in the upper right-hand corner of the schedule. If you navigate away from the calendar before saving, your changes will be lost.
Classroom Schedule
To access the schedule for any classroom in Blueprint:
- Start by navigating to the classroom tab on the left-hand side navigation bar.
- Choose the desired classroom, and you'll find the "Schedule" tab as the first option.
- Click the "Schedule" tab.

- Clicking on this option will direct you to the calendar view of the classroom schedule.
While in this view, Instructors and Administrators will have access to several key features. For instance, clicking on any of the scheduled lessons will prompt a pop-out window. Within this window, you'll find actions such as:
- View Content : When selecting this option, a new window or tab will open, enabling Instructors or Administrators to review the content or make edits to the lesson. Within this view, Instructors can find key materials such as teacher instructions, required materials, and the objectives of the lesson.
- Reschedule : By clicking this option, a pop-out window will appear where Instructors and Administrators can select a new start and end date for the lesson. Once they confirm the rescheduling by selecting "Reschedule," the changes will promptly update on the calendar.
- Remove Event: Choosing this option will remove the scheduled lesson plan for the particular day. This action provides flexibility in managing the classroom schedule, allowing for the removal of lessons as needed.
Rescheduling From the Calendar
While in the calendar view, Instructors and Administrators can conveniently click and drag any of the lesson plans to reschedule them by:
- Positioning the cursor between any of the calendar squares, a double arrow will appear, allowing you to drag the lesson plan backward or forward to a new square.
- After dragging the lesson plan to a new date, a pop-out window labeled "Lesson collision warning" will appear.
- In this window, the Instructor or Administrator will be presented with options to manage any potential conflicts by:
- Undo: This option allows you to revert the dragged lesson plan back to its original position, undoing the action.
- Leave as is: Choosing this option will keep the lesson plan in its new position, despite any conflicts with other scheduled events.
- Reschedule Proceeding Lessons: If there are subsequent lessons affected by the rescheduling, this option enables you to automatically adjust their schedule to avoid conflicts.
Once you are happy with the rescheduling, you must click “save changes” located in the upper right-hand corner of the schedule. If you navigate away from the calendar before saving, your changes will be lost.
If there's a holiday built into the schedule for a particular semester, any rescheduling action will automatically honor it and schedule around it.
